Dear All,
Thanks so much to those who joined last month's 2ND Saturday that featured a presentation by Chiara Gallo on Art & Influencer Advertising and Marketing. For those unable to attend, a recording will be made available on a future Warfare of Art and Law podcast.
June 2023's Topic: NFT UPDATE
For this month's 2ND Saturday, Institute of Art & Law Assistant Director Emily Gould will give a presentation on the current state of NFTs. In April, Emily gave testimony before the UK Parliament's Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee regarding NFTs and the blockchain and offered correspondence following the hearing on several issues touched on by the Committee. For an NFT overview, there are also several NFT-related posts on the IAL Blog as well as an article by Emily published in the August 2022 edition of Art, Antiquity and Law, E. Gould, 'NFTs: An Overview of Law and Regulation in 2022 and Beyond', XXVII Art Antiquity and Law 97 (available at HeinOnline for digital subscriptions).
Looking forward to seeing you at this weekend's conversation!
Until Saturday,
Stephanie
